OMG! I’m back with a house tour!!!!!

Ok, well it has been well over a month since I last posted, and A LOT has been going on. I have been on the road about every other weekend visiting Eric, and needless to say, I’ve been pretty tired….However, with that said, I have been off this whole week for Spring Break and I have MY very own house condo tour to share with you! ENJOY!!!

After accepting a job at the University Health Science Center of San Antonio, Eric and I made the move to San Antonio in January. We only had one weekend in November to find a place, and of course this little condo would be the last place we looked. We are living in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio; which is a rapidly growing community complete with hills, outdoor malls, GREAT food, and a nature preserve! So far, so good!

Biggest Challenge: Trying to work with what we already have.

Pom Pom Crazy

WOW! I am going crazy over these pom pom’s from orangekisses on Etsy! I told you in my last post that it was WEDDING TIME, and I am proud to announce my first find. These pom pom’s come in an array of colors, and would make THE perfect accent to any venue!

Orangekisses sells them in numbered sets, from 1-40! Can you imagine a room filled with these? It makes me want to get married all over again! Also, from now until January 31st, Orangekisses will be donating proceeds to the Haiti relief organizations. Get them while you can make a difference!

While admiring these blissful pieces of artwork, I was reminded of Dale Chihuly, one of my favorite artists! Maybe you will see the connection too!

It’s been crazy…

Ok, it’s time to rejoin the living! It’s been one crazy ride the past couple of weeks….From having H1N1 the week before we made the move to San Antonio, to the kiln breaking at work, needless to say, it’s been one crazy ride. Eric is now living and working in San Antonio, while I am still in Frisco finishing up my school year with my kiddos. For the past couple of weeks I have made the trek down I35 to join my other half, and have enjoyed every minute of it!

I have accomplished only one DIY project, which is posted below.

I am also proud to announce that my brother is engaged to his long time girlfriend Liane, and that means only one thing….IT’S WEDDING SEASON! I can not wait to post all things wedding in the next coming months! coming months! But, until then, I will leave you with my first attempt to be the domestic housewife, with a no sew curtain project.

Problem: Not enough Cabinet space for all our kitchen wedding presents!

Solution: no sew curtains!

Curtain Rod: Ikea Dignitet $14.00

Curtain Clips: Ikea Dignitet $4.99

Project Total: $52.48

Ok, so I went over $2.48…but we still love it!

In this upcoming week we will be on the move to San Antonio! Eric will start his new job at the University of Texas Health Science Center as a web programmer analyst, and I will be moving back in with my mother until my school year ends (it should be interesting). Needless to say, the blog will probably not be updated very often until we get settled. I promise to bring a full update back and LOTS of pictures. Until then, 2010 will be the year of change for us…what does 2010 have in store for you?

I have been mesmerized by Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield’s work for the past couple of years. If I had a million dollars to re-design my home apartment, this duo would be my pick! Their style of “Modage” (modern and vintage combined) is completely one of a kind, and rarely achieved by others. So, here is a tour of what I think is their best work

My life is completely turned upside down…I have proof!

Boxes are consuming my life!

my closet decided to collapse on me while packing it!

Even though we will be moving in a week, I managed to find this antique inspired botany print at TJ Maxx of all places! I was so excited I almost bought the only three that they had. I contained myself and only bought the one, even though I tried convincing myself I had room for the rest.

I can’t wait to post pic’s of our new mid-century modern inspired town home….stay tuned to see what happens down in San Antonio!

Craigslist addiction…

Please excuse the shredded paper on the floor

So, after many searches on craigslist…I found this gem. It is a mid-century modern Knoll table with 4 chairs that are not worth posting. However, this WAS the table I was looking for, and for $70 not a bad deal at all! I plan on recovering the chairs, but I am not sure what print to use. You can help me decide! What’s your vote….1,2,3 or 4?
